一緒に歌おう♪『The Miracle』から「Scandal」アルバムからは4枚目のシングルとなりました。
この曲もBrian Mayによるものですが、前回「I Want It All」で紹介したように、彼の離婚問題についてとその原因となったイギリスのTVタレントAnita Dobsonとの関連についてのスキャンダルを元に書かれていることは明白です。
彼らは、歌で反論できるんですよね。スキャンダルがどれほど、人とその人生にダメージを与えるかいうことを。
さらにこの曲は、1989年に書かれたのですが、その年は、FreddieがAIDSに感染していると知った年でもありました。彼はすでに病気でしたが、レコーディングは中止することなく続けられました。命がけで歌っているであろうFreddieの声は艶があってほんとに素晴らしい。
悲しいことに、FreddieのAIDS疑惑もスキャンダルになり、薬を買っている写真などを盗られました。
